Marsha--Until this spring I hadn't found a thimble or substitute that pleased me. I got the Clover thimble that has the rubber/silicone collar with a little metal cap. It feels like there is nothing on my finger and I love it. Now after nearly 60 years of stitching raw fingered i won't stitch without the thimble.

chocake2:

Sukochi, you can send me a post card anytime!! What a beautiful little creation!

 CC, all I need is your address and you get on. ePM me . In fact, I bet your artistic kiddo's would love this. My cohort in crime, at church today, sugested swapping Christmas themed post cards and using them as tree ornaments. Cute.

Well, it's been a pretty fun day for me. My husband and I met my daughter and her husband for lunch. My daughter's birthday is tomorrow and since she works on Monday's, we celebrated today. My sister met with us so I got to see her too. She is 35 this year and works all the time. No grandchildren though. She's not have any. When I got home I got to finish my little wall quilt for Halloween for my sister. I hope everyone had a great Sunday also.

moved furniture all day.  It seems since Iv'e started quilting regularly there is always someone waiting for a quilt to be made for them.

Agnes

I have one of those thimbles and it is my pick most of the time.  It is really comfy.

I have all the grandkids quilt bindings glue basted and ready to be sewn... Woo Hoo. In Aug a year ago I did not think it would happen, but God is so good!

I even put the label on #3 quilt and started the hand sewing. I'm planning on taking a couple of the quilts up to my daughter so she can get to work on them, she is finished with #2. I cannot tell you what a relief this is... :)

Here's an Amazon link for the Nimble Thimble.  I paid $5.98 +tax at the store.  Twice now I've put away my sewing and forgotten to take off the thimble.  I have to turn it just right so the spot on my finger that usually gets poked is covered with the metal disk (which is just a little right of center) but this is an awesome thimble!

Nan has just reported that Montgomery has stopped eating, but is still drinking. She said she took him out, he did his business, then she carried him back in. He has settled in the guest bathroom on the floor and she has put a light covering on him. She thinks he will cross that Rainbow Bridge tonight.  My heart breaks for them........and me. : {

I have a question:

Does anyone left-handed have experience using this thimble?  It looks to be "one-sided" which wouldn't work for a lefty unless they make a specific left-hand version.

Donna, I don't think it would make any difference which hand you use it on. I just put mine on my left hand and it would work just the same.
