Hey Gals, sounds like everyone has been busy doing something, I went to town yesterday so today I am trying to make up some time quilting, trying to get one finished this afternoon, I will add it to my gallery, the black/white with red stars, Thanks spudgrandma for the advice, I shut down that blog for now until I get the hang of things, I have a big pot of potatoes, cooking, somebody gave me two 10 lb sacks of small potatoes and dont really have a cool place to keep them, I am going to try a recipe I found for make-ahead mashed potatoes you can put in the freezer, Any ideas will help. bj

. just being home togther, is celebration for us lately. after two weeks on the go, i slept away two days. maybe this weekend, we'll think of something fun to do.

CC, isn't cutesy halloween jewelry, tacky by it's very nature? i love tacky, it makes up the bulk of most of my jewels. i managed to make my diamond wedding ring tacky. i found some very tacky halloween earrings at leavenworth, when i get home, we'll see who can out-tacky who. i'll post a picture of them. i love your doo-dads.

Hi Gini, I was barbjahay but changed it to okiebarb, I noticed there were other Barbara, or Barbs so I thought this one might be better, It is nice to chat with other quilters in other states, I have never been to Idaho, My mom has cousins there somewhere, I will have to look and see where they live, cant think of the name right now. I have to agree with this. I can't honestly say they're not tacky, but they are cute. :) Keep in mind though, that I spent last weekend at a tie dye party (I brought white fabric to dye), so I'm not sure my opinion is worth much.
On another note, Gini, how on Earth did you manage to make a diamond ring tacky? pics?

We do a tie dye party every year with my family.. and my husband makes fun of me about it for the other 364 days of the year for the tackiness of my creations....
This was a yard of white kona cotton that I did this year that I like a lot. Not sure what will happen with it, but it's hanging out in my stash for now.
