I have the binding sewn on 3 out of 4 of the quilts and the ends joined on 1, tomorrow I plan on joining the ends of the other 2 and then glue basting all 3 so they are ready for the hand sewing.
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy & sorrow, stitched with love
Spudgrandma, you got a lot done! Good for you! You say "glue basting" What do you use to do that?
Marge,
sent you a PM...

Barbara, thanks for the kick, that makes two now. I did take that walk and I did work up enough energy to do a few things around the house that needed doing and then I took a nap.
I'm making you a promise, I'll work on the backing tomorrow before I even get online. It is nearly done.

Jody, I use Sharon Schamber's glue method to make, attach and baste the binding. It works great for me and made a job that I use to hate into one that is just another part of the quilt. Here is the link to her youtube video showing how to do it, there are 3 videos and most of the info you need is on #2, but I would watch them all at least once. Sharon Schamber's Binding the Angel
BJ, I guess a few of us are in a funk, maybe we could inspire one another to fight it and get quilting. I made Barbara a promise to work on the backing for my DGS quilt tomorrow before even getting online and I'm going to make good on that promise. What will you do? MaggieNae? Spud, I think Nana's kick got you going, keep it up. Come on girls, let's get busy!
Thanks so much Spudgrandma!
Jody, I guess I did not exactly answer your question. I use Elmer's School glue it is washable and completely comes out. She has a web site and that is where I got the tips that you put on the bottle of glue so you can do a really thin line.
Marie:Spud, I think Nana's kick got you going, keep it up. Come on girls, let's get busy!
I guess it did, you suppose I will have to have her give me a kick every day? :) Jody, you are most welcome.
Well I guess it's my turn to ask for T&P"s. For the last month I've had the worst pain in the back and hip, sometimes running all the way down to my big toe. It started out just a tiny bit of pain in my lower back and day by day got worse. I had to drag out the cane I used when I had my knees done. I really hate that cane. My Doctor was out of town for two weeks that's why it took me so long to see him. Anyway I went today and he sent me for x-rays on the lower back, by the time I got off that hard table I was ready to scream. So now have to wait and see what the X-rays show. Whoever said that getting old was not for the weak at heart sure as heck knew what they were talking about.
I'll add my T&P to the rest of you who are ill, injured or just sick and tired.

If need be I'm sure she will. : )
Bonita:Well I guess it's my turn to ask for T&P"s.
Bonita, you've got my thoughts and prayers. God Bless. (((((HUGS))))) Sound like my sciatica pain.
Oh Bonita, I hope your pain goes quickly. Hopefully the Dr can send you for some physical therapy and cure your pain. My prayers are going up for this to be a quick easy fix for you. Ginny
Bonita, T&P for you

Nana:Gini and Donna Glad you had safe trips and made it home happy and sound.
Nana, we had the best flight from Cinncinnati to Seattle on Delta with a wonderful flight attendant. Told DH her voice sounded just like Nana's! She was very sweet...obviously a southern belle just like you!
