Marie,
I have a confession they were going to have more diamonds in them than three, however i brought bigger diamonds than i needed so when i started putting it together it would have been a plate rug not a mug rug. Ah well quicker this way and i have lots more to do.
lots of love

Here she is!! I'll try to get the back ready and maybe sandwich it by the end of the weekend but there's a bunch of social stuff going on so that might not happen. Soon though... I don't want to lose this momentum!

Great job Debbie. Love the horsey border fabric. Really sets off the western theme well. WTG

Frances, I will talk with you. Fact is I'm still intrigued by EPP and purchased another book from Amazon called "Hexa-Go-Go EPP 16 Quilt Projects". Also bought "One Block Wonders" to avoid the shipping charge. I have big plans but no energy to go with them but who knows I may come alive one of these days soon. One could only HOPE.
WooHooo thank you, i would miss this thread if it just died out.
Thank you so much Marie,
I really appreciate it I dont think ive brought the Hexa-go-go ive seen it but not brought it, i did buy a couple of others though, ive posted pictures of whats inside them in groups under the hand quilting and hand piecing group. Yes thanks to Thea i have brought the One block wonders book as well (I think Thea is dangerous first the one block wonder and now the sew spooky quilt which im very tempted to get). I have the same big plans but no time since i only quilt weeekends in between the stuff i need to do and my lunch hour at work.
Roll on Christmas when i get 2 weeks off. Quilting time Yeah....
Frances, I think you are well beyond Hexa-Go-Go. The reviews said it was great for beginners, I'll let you know when I receive it.
What is Christmas like for you and your family. It's so commercialized here, a lot of us have lost the true meaning of it. Homemade gifts, family gatherings, sharing with neighbors, caroling was how it started out but a lot of it is lost now. I guess you could blame it on the times.
Thanks for the compliment but i think im still a beginner, i think Debbie is the expert as shes finished one, i just have lots on the go at the same time.
Christmas is very commercialised here too, although i do make Origami Christmas ornaments, bake my own Christmas Cake, Mince pies, and i always make my own Christmas cards (although if i dont shift my butt they will be Easter cards). I havent heard anyone singing christmas carols for years only in the main town in the shopping area. Christmas for me very quiet just me mum and dad but i still really enjoy it, peace quiet and waking up early Christmas morning about 5am and looking outside for Santa just to check whether hes on his way ok, and standing outside and finding total peace and quiet no cars, no people just solitude and the stars in the sky its my favourite time and i love Christmas (not the commercial bit) but the bit where people make a bit more effort to be friendly.

Frances dear, I'm afraid I have to correct you here... finishing a top doesn't make me an expert, it just points loudly to the fact that I have no life! LOL And that I have an addictive personality! HA! Cross your fingers for me, after work I'm heading to buy another 2 yards of my border fabric to use on the back... will they still have some on the bolt when I get there!?

This sounds lovely, Frances. I could almost feel what you describe, calm. Here, that bit about being more friendly, everyone is so caught up in all the hustle and bustle, we've even lost that.
Debbie-do:will they still have some on the bolt when I get there!?
Debbie, keeping my fingers crossed that they will.
