Hi Billie,

I am sorry can't help with the belt issue but if it works anything like a simple engine you can probably find out how on You tube.  I hope you find out.  Good Luck!

Billie

I know how to do it but I can't explain it...LOL>   Hopefully the tutorial will help.  I would love to see a pic of your machine.   I now have 3 treadle machines.  I absolutely love them.

Sorry for the stupid question but, what's a 'treadle' machine? I know, there are no stupid questions, I just keep waiting for the day when I actually see a question I can answer because I know a little about it! Guess I'm having a mini pity-party, sorry!

Chicago

Way back before electric they made sewing machines with a "treadle"  that you operate with foot power by rocking the treadle forward.   The treadle is connected to a wheel that is connected to the sewing machine wheel with a belt so that the needle moves up and down.
