I can't offer help for installing the belt but wanted to welcome you to QCA :)

I know how to do it but I can't explain it...LOL> Hopefully the tutorial will help. I would love to see a pic of your machine. I now have 3 treadle machines. I absolutely love them.

Way back before electric they made sewing machines with a "treadle" that you operate with foot power by rocking the treadle forward. The treadle is connected to a wheel that is connected to the sewing machine wheel with a belt so that the needle moves up and down.
we went to a big custom clothing place in vietnam in an out door covered market. all the women were using treadle machines, and i didn't recognize any of the names on the machines
