My family and I recently went to the beach for vacation. I posted some pics of a LQS that I found, the contact info and some other shops that I was not lucky enough to visit. You can only do so much fabric shopping with 2 little ones! LOL
It's on my blog:

I just loved Quilting at the Beach...just the nicest people, especially Renee!! I bought a ton from their fabulous "back room" mark downs! I also bought a lot of front room fabrics for my Heavenly Windows quilt.

That surely is a heavenly quilt Jeannie! The last time I was in Myrtle Beach was hours before Hurricane Hugo hit. The Pier I was standing on is no longer there. We were staying with friends 5 blocks from the pier and they suddenly had beach front property! Your quilt reminds me of that was lost during that time. And I thank my Lord that I was hours away when Hugo came ashore.
thanks..thought you might to see the monastery window that inspired me...

What a beautiful job you did capturing that window! Good job!
I was at that quilt store a few months ago while visiting my sisters who live in Myrtle Beach. I wanted to stay all day in that back room. Wish it were here.
Your quilt is inspiring and you did a wonderful job on copying the window.

I was sitting in an ordination ceremony at the monastery, taking photos...looked up, snapped this window and thought...hmmm, what a pretty quilt design.
A year later I gave the quilt to the old friend who was ordained that day!!
Sometimes God puts you right where you need to be....
Jeannie, wonderful story! Your friend must've been touched by your gift. God does put us where we need to be. God Bless.
