Oh, Leslie!  I can't imagine you're wanting to go watch fireworks.  Our fireworks are being rained out.  No cool down yet, though...

we are living in the perfect weather area today.   yesterday was cold, thunderstorms, torrential rains and high winds.  today was 70, sunny and a perfect night for the fireworks.   it was chilly enough that i ran home and got some long pants and sweaters to pass around, and we all snuggled down on the tarp with a blanket over us to enjoy the show. princess was on the move all evening.   she couldn't decide if she wanted to snuggle between mommy and me or between mommy and daddy.   we should all have such tough choices in life.

we are finally settling into summer with a forecast of 80 days and 50 nights.   we don't have chiggers, poison snakes, poison oak or ivy, tornados, hurricaines or bogey men.   just an occasional blizzard in the winter.  i am so sorry you are all suffering through your heat wave, but now that i am home, i think i will stay a while.  i may join sam in branson in late august, hopefully it will be cooler, if not, i'll park myself in the air conditioning.

Gini

It is a shame Branson is so far from me.  I would come visit you while you are there.  Enjoy your nice weather and have a fun summer.

Randy has heard me share your praises of Sandpoint, ID, before, but now with the unusually long hot streak we are going through, he's actually been looking over Sandpoint on the Internet. LOL

Nancy,

Are you in the area where there were tornadoes last night?  They were talking about Brainerd on the Weather Channel and I thought of you.

yes, yesterday was the first day of summer weather.  The sun felt good, and just a slight breeze.  We slept outside on the balcony last night.  But still with several layers of blankets, including the down comforter and Hudson bay wool blanket.   It was so nice to fall asleep looking at the garden below.  And then the full moon.  Beautiful.

There's another unheard of idea!  If we tried that, the mosquitoes would carry us away!
