Has anyone done a quilt using mens neck ties? Do you know of any patterns or info for this? Thank you. Have a friend who has their deceased brothers ties and wants a quilt/wall hanging.

Deb, I have a couple books of men's necktie quilts. I'll dig them up from the bookcase and send the titles to you later.

Hugs

The nicest ones I've seen used the ties as dresden fans or plates. Google it.

Sorry it's taken me a while to pull from my bookcase. The book is Love to Quilt Necktie Sampler Blocks by Janet B. Elwin (ISBN 0-89145-882-4_ You can get the book from American Quilters Society.

I also have an article I got online using men's ties for making quilt blocks. http://www.quiltbug.com/articles/mens-ties.htm

Hope this helps.
