Hi everyone I just joined today. My name is Mary Quilty, yes that really is my last name! :) I married into the name in 1990, but did not start quilting until 2005. My husband always teased me that I do not have to live up to the name, but I just took an interest in quilts and wanted to learn how to make them. So, I guess it was meant to be.
Are there any long arm quilters out there? I have an Innova long arm, and I am still intimidated by it. I could use some suggestions. Thanks and hope to talk to some of you soon Mary Q,
Mary welcome to the club. I love your last name. I do not have a long arm quilter but there are plenty of people here who do.

Welcome Mary!!!

"Fabricologist Resource Center" ...now doesn't that sound more impressive than "fabric stash" ?
Thanks for the welcome Margaret.
Welcome Mary Quilty!
I am a longarm quilter and there are many more here just go to the Longarm share and enjoy.
We try to help each other and to share information and techniques. You are gonna love it here!

Thanks Judylee I will look for the long arm section. I am having trouble with tension, thread was pulling to the back on the last quilt. (Not to mention the tension it caused in my neck!) I read some really good tips in Love of Quilting article. I am going to load a couple old bed spreads to try and play with it and try some of these techniques. Mary Q.
Your name is awesome, Mary. I should of held out for the right name instead of the right guy to marry! LOL
I have an APQS Millennium and do a lot of "gabbing" on the Longarmers Share thread. There is lots of help and support there for all our "issues". Welcome.
Hi Mary, welcome to the club. I am new to the club also. I have found very useful info on longarm quilting on the qnntv.com tab. There are lots of great videos. I also joined the group fear- no-more fmqers. There are discussions there as well. I have an hq16 longarm, but only within the last year have I tried anything beyond meandering. Good luck!

Welcome, Mary. I have a mid-arm mounted on a frame, but I sure wish I had one of those great big beautiful long arms....of course, first I would have to get a new house with room enough for it, LOL. Don't think my DH will agree to that.
Welcome Mary Q. How great that you have THE ultimate last name for a quilter!
Griffin, GA
Welcome Mary Q. Great name. There a show on QNNtv called "Quilty" with Mary Fons. Hmmmm.
Besides our wonderful lades here, if you have access to QNNtv, there's also a show called "Quilt It" where you can pick up lots of pointers from seasoned LA quilters.
