Nana, that might come under the heading of the Downhill Rump Race.......or Rump Roast!! Depends on how hot that puppy gets on the way down.  : )

I like the idea of a syronized (sp???) ice-slipping team.  I think we could do a marvelous ballet on the ice.

I think if it is downhill that would be skiing not skating.   But I could definitely do downhill skiing without skis.    The one time I tried skiing I spent all of my time on my rump....ROFLOL

Susie,

There should be extra points in the Sync-Slipping for spins, flips, forward and backward somersaults (increased points for no-hands used).  Wonder if this event should be set to music so you could get points for the 'artistic' element?

How about the 100 yard Dog Pull? Team member must be tethered to 75 pound dog by a 6' leash. Stuffed rabbit will be used as bait to start the dog running.  At least half the course must be ice covered. Contestant must stay on feet and prevent dog from catching said 'rabbit'. Extra points awarded if contestant is carrying small child or other 20 pound weight in one arm.

OK, you guys have to watch this local "Doggy Dash" that is held here every year.  Every one has a good time and all proceeds go to our local animal shelter.

There is even a hunk or two for Marie...LOL!

BTW, I did enter with our dog a few years ago...but only once.  I think I came in last...lol!!!!!

Here is the link:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6P1vyHWClE

I have better pictures...somewhere...but this is the only video I could find.

Ok,

Id like to enter the Luge, since all you have to do is lay down on a tin tray and slide down a hill so my training will consist of lying in bed very still (sounds great to me).

lots of love

Frances:

french man who works with us said he wanted to be the mattress for the ladies gymnastics.  Best answer however was from our director who said he would be taking part in the Chocolate and Biscuit eating Relay race.

As for me, i know you are dying to know which event i will be taking part in well the uneven bars,

that would be the uneven chocolate bars.  one bite out of a bar in one hand, making it uneven, a bite out of the other bar making it even etc etc.  I can see this as an event I would want to watch.

Frances,

That sounds good to me, too!  I like just laying around...but I don't think they could find a tin tray big enough for me.  Maybe a car hood turned upside down?

Vivian, I am in for the uneven chocolate bars.  I am already so good at this. No training even needed.

Do our uniforms come from Hershey, Pa? Or, maybe, Holland? Or, would this be Willy Wonka chocolate rather then Dutch cholocate?
