Sheri A.:I needed a travel machine
Oh Sheri I am soooo jealous. I was going to buy this baby at the Lancaster AQS show from the dealer who sold me my Horizon but couldn't justify it. She is such a great machine. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!
Mimi, How do you like your Horizon???I have been looking at them. Susan
Susan :Mimi, How do you like your Horizon?
I love my Horizon. I had the 6500 and the 6600 before and traded up each time Janome upgraded. I was a little hesitant to switch from the 6600 to the Horizon as the 6600 is in a metal casing and the Horizon is plastic. But to have the extra 2 inches in the harp space, the beautiful blanket stitch and stitch #93 that looks like hand quilting sold it for me. But everyone has to decide for themselves what they want and need in a machine. And cost wasn't an issue before. It would be now. Enjoy dreaming about your new machine. Let us know what you decide.
Mimi, Thanks for the info! Its what I wanted to hear. I will take my time with this big decision. Susan
Congratulations Sherri,
This will keep you out of trouble for a while.
lots of love

Sherri, have fun with your new toy, I have the Horizon and love it. I've been part of the Janome family for 8 - 10 years now and never had a problem.

Thanks again, everyone! Someone resurrected this post but I'll update and tell you that I've been using this as my travel machine for 2 months now and have been very happy with it.
I bought the 6600 in August and liked it so much that I wanted a lighter machine that offered some of the same features. I got spoiled with programmable needle up/down and the automatic cutter. A bonus is that the feet fit both machines.
Hi Sheri, Ijust searched all over for the pic of your new machine Janome finally found it . How is it working out for you? I'm looking again at machines in the midst of everything thats been going on.
It's been great. I take it to my Quilts for Kids group every week because it's so light. It's the reason I bought it. My other 2 machines are too heavy to travel with. Another member of our group just bought the same machine after using the demo model at the store for a few weeks. She seems happy with her's, too.
Thanks! I'm going to go visit one at the shop.
