JD,
this MQ is complete. You can still make the quilt if you like. The instructions can be found HERE. This one was called "Bittersweet" and instructions are listed with most recent at the top. All our past mystery quilts are listed there as well.
Keep an eye out for the next one. An announcement will be made and you'll be given time to gather your fabrics before the instructions are posted.
Donna, your DGD is going to just love it.
Great quilt Donna. I'm sure it will be well loved!

Still haven't quilted my original MQ6 which was scrappy with a black background, but here is one made for someone else. She specified only red fabrics, so it was a challenge
dara beth, your quilt is wonderful

What a challenge!! You did very well getting enough contrast to show the pattern. She must REALLY like RED!!! The bed won't be hard to find - a red beacon in the night. Since red isn't one of the colors I usually use, I would have trouble finding enough contrasting reds to do the job. I like your dark red narrow border - it frames the quilt and ties in the darker reds in blocks.
I am sure she will love it. It is pretty and BRIGHT, but a little TOO MUCH for my tastes!!!

I normally love red, but this might just be a tad too much for me. It is really pretty though and you did a great job.
Nice work on the red MQ6 Joy. I like it.
It is pretty, and you did a good job. I agree must have been a challenge and then one. Might be just a tad to much red for me. But there is alway the right place and time. My SIL has her old house in earthtones but her husband made a man cave in the basement. He put black and white squares on the floor and then the furniture is all red, took me a few to get use to it, so different from the rest of the house but it works
