Steph:

Not sure I'm doing this right, because I think I lost my last post!  Anyway...in case this works. . .I got started a tad late using Stonehenge jelly rolls and yardage.  I caught up, but once I got it on the design wall the 16-patch blocks just overwhelmed the quilt.  I think it may have been the darker background.  Anyway, I started playing around and came up with this--which reminded me of my granddaughter as a toddler (long story).  The only problem with tossing out most of the 16-patch blocks was that I had only half a quilt, so had to make the other half from scratch--so I'm late.  But I'm very happy with the outcome and have a nice pile of 16-patch blocks to use with another quilt!!  Thanks for sharing all your lovely quilts and thoughts over the last two months.  Steph

WOW !!!  I just love it.  The layout; the colors.  Stunning.  WTG Steph!

Elizabeth:

Finally finished my MQ6.  Fabric is a jellyroll Spiri by Lila Tueller for Moda.  I am not adding any additional borders.  This will be donated to Quilts of Valor

Great job Elizabeth!  Love the way you laid out your colors.

Well I finally finished piecing the back for my quilt and took it to The Quilting Place in Almond, WI to have it long-arm-machine-quilted.  Once she gets it back to me, I will finish the edging and it'll be complete!  I will post finished pics of it once it's all done...probably somewhere around 4-6 weeks at least.  I am pretty excited to see it quilted!

when will the next one start. And do I not miss when it is posted? will it be a new group that you have to sign up for ?? I think I heard september and it is just around the corner. Will the sept be the anouncing of the fabric or when we get started?

walla2butterfly:
when will the next one start.

Others can help here but I think I saw a post from Sandy that mentioned the next MQ being in late Sept. or Oct.  I think she usually puts out a new thread to announce the start.  Then there's time to get the fabric found and cut.  Then the weekly instructions begin.  And there will be lots of posts from members when the new one gets announced.  You must be looking forward to MQ7 walla.  I know I am.

I'm just starting the MQ6!  I bought Aubrey Rose Jelly Roll that came in this last week.  I guess that I'm going to have to get to work in order to be involved with MQ7. Your quilts are totally inspiring for me.
