Jacy-nice quilt-love the basket weave background-its real pretty!
beautiful borders Dara, I love it!
I finished it about a week ago. I am really happy with it! It was my first MQ and first to follow with a group. I am a little shy about posting but have really enjoyed reading all your posts. I followed instructions exactly and hope I can grow up to be like all of you who did extra things! Thanks for the most enjoyable experience and I look forward to MQ7 in the fall. I tried to post a picture, no luck.

How do I find the Newbie's tips for step 2 of mystery quilt #6? Do I use a full 2.5" square on each corner and trim after sewing or cut them diagonally before sewing?

Sorry for the double post. I'm new at this.
Hi Carol,
Yes the 2.5" squares are sewn on to the corners first, and then trim them. When you go to the group page, on the right hand side, you will see a column. Click on Discussions, and you will find the Steps and Newbie tips. Welcome to QCA :-)
I finally finished it...even though it's late, here's a picture of the completed quilt top...
Very nice Gina. I like your selection of fabrics, and your background fabric goes great with them.

"Anyway, here it is. I think I'll call it Fall Splendor for the colors. This will be a high school graduation present for the boy next door when I get it quilted."
Dara Beth--Love your quilt. The border really is awesome! Really great job! That is one lucky neighbor your have!
Judy, love what you did with the borders. It really showcases the blocks.
Gina, very nice, very pretty fabrics.

Thank you Cindy. I wish the picture hadn't come out so dark...I took them last night right after finishing it, so it's kinda hard to see the true colors of it since there wasn't enough light. Again, thank you!
