Here is my finished quilt top. I did use the Bittersweet material, however the material they sent for the 4 inch outside border was a floral with a green background. Since green is my least favorite color, I used that for a 1 inch border to frame the print as suggested by someone on here, ( sorry I dont remember who) then I picked a floral from my stash that has a dark tan, light brown, background. I didnt want the emphasis of the quilt to be green. Also when putting on the inner border, the one with the rectangles, I had to unsew and move one piece on each strip to keep from having 2 like fabrics together. Didnt think that was too bad since it was put together before we knew the layout.
Does anyone have the link to post the pick for the judging?

Great colors, great job. I like your quilt top and your screen name. Didn't know Tuesday Morning had jelly rolls. Thanks for the tip.

urgodschild2: Can't figure out how to post on here except to reply to someone's post. I hope this goes through. This was my first mystery quilt. I used two jelly rolls that i got at Tuesday Mornings store. Plus they had some matching one yard materials to go with it. So here it is.

Lovely quilt Donna. You did a great job with the borders. I think if you go to the Groups and then Mystery Quilt 6 there will be a link there for posting pixs.

What actually is a "mystery quilt"? Carol
Granny Carol: What actually is a "mystery quilt"? Carol
Hi Carol,
A Mystery Quilt is one in which you have been given fabric requirements and a cutting list. Then, at set intervals, you are given instructions for a portion of the quilt. Each part adds to the quilt, but without giving the full design and layout of the quilt. The final step tells how the pieces go together; this is when you find out what the quilt you have been making looks like. They are fun, if you can relax control to the point of making something with no idea where it will end up. If you need to know what the end result is before you start sewing, mystery quilts may not be up your alley,. Try one and see how you like it; you may get hooked, like I did. Good Luck!

It's Quilting! You're supposed to be having fun!
Judy EE, Tino is adorable! He looks like he's watching you to see if you're going to make him get off "his" quilt, by the way his eyes are cut up at you. The ears say you've said something and he's not quite sure if you're talking to him. My Shorty was the same way for all his fifteen years. I miss him every day.

I guess if I'm going to go post my quilt there, I'd better get it finished huh?
Is there a time limit? The plums got ripe and I have two batches of jelly to make before I can sit down and sew.
