Yay!  Progress is being made!  I've finished step 3 and am about half-way through step 4.  I should be caught up by the time step 6 is revealed.  I might even have time to start the next quilt, if I can decide what the next quilt will be lol.

decided to press my seams open, didn't want to have to change all my corner pieces, plus my seams from the 16 patch are going every which way. We've started picking tomatoes, yea nothing like a fresh homegrown tomato!

Ginny, where do you live???  I haven't even put my tomato plants in the ground yet.  Lucky you!

MNnancy,  I live in southeast Michigan.  We can just now begin to plant our gardens and put the tomato plants in, but these plants are for sale.  They are mostly heirloom plants.  We will take them to the farmers market starting Tuesday.  I am going to plant my 2 tomato plants today.  They will be container grown.  Ginny

I took the advice to repress the seams so they would nest, and wow, did it make an enormous difference!!  My blocks went together smooth as butter!  Now I'm all done with step 5, so I guess I'll long arm a little lap quilt I made for my sister.  Since I'm likely to just do a panto, it won't take long, so then onto putting the applique on my Tree of Life quilt by Edyta Sitar.  I have to admit working with so many triangles was a bit challenging!  Trouble is, what do I do after that.... And what to do after the MQ?  I will definately do another one!  This has been a great experience.  I love working on a quilt that there are so many other talented quilters working on at the same time and sharing advice.  What fun!

well still sewing away. I have had to a lot of work out in the garden we aren't having. I have about 1/2 the patches doen on step 4. Because I didnt get the size on my 4 patches. I am sewing and sometimes having to seam rip them back to the beginning. so it is slow going.  I did put some control into the 16 patch. I sorted my patches with bright colors into 2 piles and am going to sew them to quiter patches. I am hoping this helps keep some balance. I really dont want one corner screaming at me and I cant find the other.  I got my panel finally for the quilt I want to make for my son, I mean really it took it 3 days to get here ( but seemed like forever) and I won the raggidy ann material on ebay and it arrived as well. Now I need to sit down and decided what colors I want to go with it. I am really liking the idea of the log cabin and then rag quilting the blocks together. just still not sure about the red. Well this house that HB is doing a remodel frame job on , the owners told me I could have anything growing outside, so I am off to dig up some free hydrangeas and roses. Havent decided on the daylilies cause I dont need any but... I dont know what color and maybe I dont have that color. oh it is just as bad a material must be me......
