MnCarol,  I love, love, love your quilt.  I really like how all the colors come together.  Blue and yellow  combo is one of my favorites.  Ginny

Started Step 3 before I went to bed last night...hopefully, even with the grandsons here today, I'll get Step 3 finished before the day is done.  Finished the first 12 block strip last night.

MNcarol, your quilt is gorgeous!  Love the fabrics, it would go well in my sunroom if you need a place for it.

Susie:

Whew...step 2 is completed!  My daughter's step 2 are half done.  She is going to try to finish them up tonight, if she isn't working her second job.

Here are the pix of mine.

Susie,  In the top picture, there are HSTs. Are they part of step 2?  Did I miss something?

Thanks Bonita, I loved it and bought it to do something with someday. I sure hope I picked the right project. But it was the only scrap yardage I had that was big enough for the project. I am really trying to do this without going to the fabric store. I am afraid in the end I might have to just to make it all work but we will see. But you never know. I glanced at the next step last nite before I went to bed and went what? I never saw that coming and really wondering where this is going. Maybe I will be able to use that yardage that I have running around after all. Dont know if I will be able to bring myself to do this pull random again haha we will see...Tami

Nope..you didn't miss anything.  I just figured that since I went to that much work to get my corners, I would take the extra step and make the HSTs.  We don't need them for this quilt.

hi, i'm really new to this sort of thing. I haven't finished step one or two. My quilt guild has kept me busy setting together challenge blocks for quilts of valor, hopefully this weekend I can sew, sew, sew, and get caught up. I hate to be behind. fletcher

I am sort of glad I am a couple of days behind; this way I can see what step 3 is supposed to look like from seeing the pictures you fast quilters post here.  Thanks for your pictures, as this will help me avoid making a mistake in the piecing :-)

did you sew together your cut offs, to form the half square triangles. They look great. I did that with a mystery quilt my guild did. i ended up with enough half square triangle to make a matching bed runner for the finished quilt. Ideas, ideas.

MNCarol-I am in love with your quilt!  It's so pretty!  Awesome job on it.

I have a queen-size bed, if you need somewhere to "store" it, lol!
