Gee everyones quilts are looking great ,I haven't even got my fabric cut yet . guess I'm gonna be late . Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
Marilyn B:I had to add mine as well.
Like the way you have set up steps 1 and 2. I see you have used the left over background squares. Hmmmmm. I have a feeling it's going to be a big reveal. Like the way yours has the darker background. Nice job.
Barbara
I am w/ you- I haven't even cut my fabric. Maybe tomorrow! : ) Everyone's quilt is so beautiful! I must start cutting!
You can catch up Barbara. The step that took the longest was cutting all the 2.5 in. squares. I'm wishing I had used up all my scraps left over from other quilts instead of cutting a jellyroll. You've got scraps, right? And you're a speedy sewer. You'll be up with the rest of us in no time at all.
Mars, You and Barbara probably both need some down time from the week of intense laughing and shopping. LOL You'll catch up before you know it.
I haven't either Barbara. I am hiding in my sewing room all day tomorrow. Not coming out for anything unless it is very very serious. I have fabric to cut for 12 different quilt blocks to send out. This quilt My small quilt and so many other things that "have to be done" tomorrow and Monday. See you all when I surface or have a question. I love all the quilts I have seen, I hope you all like mine, well I hope I like mine LOL
Everyone's blocks for MQ6 are looking great. I love everyone's colors combinations. If I ever get caught up with all of my projects (and if I like what this one looks like finished), I might do another one in really bright colors.
I decided after I saw the new step come out that I didn't like my background after all, it was just a plain white. Sooo, I went to the LQS and bought another one, a marbled cream, with cream swirls printed on it. But of course I had to check out the sale/close out section, and 8 more fabrics, and 25+ yards later, I finally got out of there. I went out to the truck, and my husband who had been waiting for me with our dogs was asleep. I got in, he looked at my bag, just shook his head and said "huh." :) But the upside is I have a new background and new fun fabric! Woohoo! :)
I love everyone's pictures! It's so great to see all the pattern ideas, and all the fabrics. They're all so different, and all so pretty. Very fun! this is the first mystery quilt I've done in "real time" as the steps come out, and its been really fun to watch and interact with everyone :)
Got my Step 2 done yesterday, so today I've started the Craftsy BOM. Have the first three blocks done, and the fourth cut out. I want to get to the strip blocks, that's my favorite kind! Don't have a picture of any of these yet! Time to give it up for tonight.
Thanks Mimi. Love your blues. The background I picked was actually not my pick, my son saw it and wanted that dark so as he will get it in the end I figured he should like the colour combo. I too sewed a little to the middle but I think it will be ok, the coloured ends open up if not right on the square line just off so there won't be much trimming. Today I hope to get the little half squares stitched up and I will figure something to do with them later as well, cute hourglasses.

Debi,
I really like your fabrics. Cute little hour glasses that you made out of the scraps. I'm making small multi colored pinwheels out of mine. Too fun.
Marilyn B,
Love your layout on this. It takes on a tile like appearance. Love your color choices too.
Jeanne, Well have fun, don't forget to take a break to stretch your legs and good luck ..LOL See you when YOU come out . Barbara
