So, Bells, did you get some rest and you are bright eyed and bushy tailed for the next round?

Hmmm... now I am wondering if you layered a sheet of steel wool between fabrics and sewed through it- would it sharpen or at least remove burrs from a sewing machine needle? Hmmmm....what do you think?

Lowellian

You can actually sew thru a fine grit sand paper and it will sharpen your needles for a liitle bit.  They still won't last forever...LOL>  But you do get a little longer usage.

I would personally be afraid to try that, I don't know if that could damage components in the bobbin area.

There's a needle sharpening pad.

Grace

Some of the sharpening pads that are sold are just sandpaper with a backing on it.  You really don't get any grit or dust off of the 220 grit sandpaper when you sew through it.
