Reflections(refraction) Quilt Pattern I'm trying to find a book or a pattern that provides instructions for this type of quilt. I do know it needs 4 repeats and then you cut 2" off top and bottom then 2" off sides and then I'm lost. I did find a quilt by Susan Vanderveen called reflection quilt made with large rose print on her website (susanvanderveen.com) but have not been able to find out how to make it. Help anyone?
Hi Brenda,
I took a class on this technique a couple of years ago. I'll look to see if I still have the instructions to share with you.

I have the book. Fabulous Fractures, Easy One-of-a-Kind Fractured Quilts, by Brenda Esslinger. It's only 32 pages, but good instructions.

Hi Brenda! I recommend the same book-FABULOUS FRACTURES! I got my book about 6 months ago from Amazon.com. Their current price is $18.95. It is a very good book that really illustrates the procedures.
Thanks so much girls!!! It sure is nice to have quilting friends
I haven't found my pattern yet but here's the piece I made in my class. It's a great technique to use with the large oriental prints that are too pretty to cut into small pieces.
This is the pattern that I use to make the reflection

This is the one I made in class.
clara, you did a great job on your refraction quilt
Brenda,
I really like these quilts. Great job on them. This technique is really unique. I hadn't seen it before. Guess I don't get out much. Anyway, it really makes me want to put some glasses on. lol I'll certainly have to pick up that book. Thanks for posting the question.
