I have found that a nickel (yep, five cents) is a very handy tool.

It fits perfectly snuggly into the screws for my presser foot holder and for my needle clamp.  I also like that the nickel doesn't get in the way of anything since it is the perfect diameter to fit into small spaces and it doesn't slip out of the slot because my fingers can control it better than they can the longer screw driver which came with my machine.

when i first read this heading, diane, i thought maybe quilting had driven you to drink.

this is a great tip, i'll have to figure out which coin works on my machine and leave it in the tool box, which happens to be missing it's screw driver
