Hello, Quilters

My name is Lindy I'm from Southern Oklahoma I learned to quilt from my grandmother, at that time I was around in my 20's she stared me off slow teaching me how to embroidery from iron on patterns then sewing squares to make into a quilt. I still love doing that today but know have branched out in my early 30's teaching myself different blocks and learning to hand quilt. I'm looking for any tips that anyone might share. I was really glad that I found you all and get to know all of you better.

Welcome Lindy.  You will find all kinds of folks willing to answer questions here.  just a glance through the Show and Tell will show you that  many of them turn out beautiful quilts.  (Not me so much - I still consider myself a beginner :o{ )

Lindy

Welcome to the site.  Hope you enjoy your time with us.  We would love to see pics of some of your quilts.  You are so lucky to have been able to learn quilting from your grandmother.  I envy you that experience.

Welcom to this website! You will love it I'm sure.  This is a wonderful way to learn different things about quilting, methods, history, etc.  We are just a group of ladies that love to quilt and just to chat.  Ask any question and you will certainly get many answers, then you choose which you want to try first!  I've learned a great deal about different methods of quilting.  I just do the blocks and then find someone to do the quilting for me.  Welcome!
