Sometimes on a project, I need to change back and forth between sewing machine feet. After having temprarily "lost" the unattached foot, by either knocking it off without noticing or forgetting where I put it, I bought a decorative toothpick holder. Now I know where to look right away for the foot not being used.

i'm not that quick.  i looked down at me feet and wondered how one could lose them.  it's possible, i suppose, because i've temporarily lost sight of them before,  when skiing in  the fog.

Great tip Cyndee! I confess to never loosing my foot cause it's always in my mouth. Hubby calls me "the queen of blurt"  As soon as something pops into my head, it tumbles out my mouth...

To keep from loosing my sewing machine feet, I keep them in a little plastic case designed for keeping fishing tackle organized in a sportsman's pocket. As soon as I swithc feet i put the one i am not using in the case. It works great for me.

Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.
