Happy Sunday morning! Wanted to give everyone an update on the quilts being made for the families of the soldiers and police officer killed at Fort Hood.
According to the latest information from Gina Redding of splintersandthread.com, she has 17 quilts ready to go, three coming from Italy, one from Alaska and six from California. The mom of the Texas governor made a quilt for the Native American soldier's family. She has at least one from Oklahoma and Karla French in Tipton, Oklahoma is quilting a few more. Gina says she has quilt blocks coming in from all over...
Gina is hoping to receive enough quilts and quilt blocks to give a quilt to each injured soldier as well as to the families of the soldiers who were killed.
Keep up the great work, quilters! Let's make sure every soldier and/or family has a quilt to comfort them at this time...
This is fabulous news. Thanks for keeping us updated
It's my pleasure, Nana!
