Hello everyone! I'm new to the QCA and to this board. I've been quilting for a little over 2 years, but still feel like a novice. I started quilting after I retired after teaching for 30 years. I'm sure I'll be able to learn so much from all of you!
Hi almostfree, welcome
Hi, almost free! welcome. we will enjoy watching you work and grow and may even ask you for help. I've been quilting all my life and there are many times I feel like a novice!
HI! Welcome to this site! enjoy
Welcome,Almostfree! What is your real name and where are you from?? I have been quilting for almost 2 years and also feel like a novice. There is just sooo much to learn, I don,t think you really ever stop learning but that is what makes it fun and interesting. Its an ongoing process. Looking forward to seeing some pics of your quilts. I know you will enjoy it here at QCA as their a great group of quilters more than willing to share their knowledge and anything else you may need. Susan, Jacksonville, Florida

Hi Nancy, I am also a former teacher (34 years), and I picked up quilting as a hobby to enjoy in retirement. I've learned a lot here on QCA, and my pace of sewing and learning has really picked up since my retirement last April.
Hope to see more of you here in our discussion boards. Where are you from?
On the banks of the Mississippi River in north central Minnesota (Brainerd lakes area)
Welcome Nancy. Hope you enjoy your time with us. We love meeting new people.

Welcome Nancy! I've been quilting for 40+ years and still consider myself a novice. Everyone here if very friendly and more than willing to help. You just have to ask. Oh, by the way, did anyone mention we like to see photos of your work? Looking forward to hearing and seeing more from you.
Hi Nancy, welcome. This is a great group. I have learned so much and made so many friends.
So good to have another retired teacher in our midst. I retired in 2005 after almost 30 yrs as librarian and 1st/2nd grade teacher. Have loved having so much quilting time. You'll find such great folks here and so much knowledge--Welcome!
That's alright Susan. I think I filled in my name afterwards anyway. So probably not your fault! Everyone has been so kind and welcoming here. I know I will enjoy it!
