Oops!  I don't think the post I was writing got saved.

Well, in a nut shell...I am retired, live in a rural area with my husband, 2 cats and a dog.  I have started more projects than I have finished.  I have many books full of good ideas.  And, because I didn't think to buy specific fabrics for those ideas, it's safe to say I have a great stash!

Do you have scheduled chats or meetings?  Your invitation was warm and welcoming.  I'm looking forwarding to making friends, quilts and memories.

I hope to hear from you soon.  Donna Parker

Hi Donna  and welcome to QCA.

To answer your question, we don't have scheduled chats,  we just post when we can and we don't really have chats per se

Hi Donna.  Are you on the dry side or the wet side of Oregon.  I am in Eastern WA, although I grew up on the "coast," which is what we call everything west of the Cascades.

It would be fun to have a scheduled chat sometime.  Perhaps on a specific topic.  But the banter here in the forums goes back and forth pretty quickly.  Miss just one day and there are several pages on "what are you doing today" and "did you work on a quilt today."

Didn't we once have a quilter's anonymous meeting?  We are all a bunch of enablers.

Many of us have so much fun on-line that we decided we would like to get together some times, so we now have several yearly retreats across the US.  Go to retreats group to check them out.

Donna--

So nice to meet you.  As you can tell, we love to share quilting ideas and tons of other stuff as well.  This site can become quite addictive, but please do visit every chance you get.

Welcome Donna

I think you have joined the perfect crowd....most of us have more ufo's than completed works...LOL>   And most of us have stashes with no idea what we are going to use it for.   We don't have scheduled chats...we just start chatting and everyone jumps in and adds their 2 cents.  Sometimes mine is only a penny....LOL>   Enjoy your time with us and just jump in and be one of the bunch.  We love to talk.

Hi Donna, a very big welcome (it has to be a big welcome as im in England so i have to shout a long way).  You will have lots of fun and laughs and the great thing is that because there are so many time zones theres always someone around who can answer questions or give an opinion and the people on here have a fantastic sense of humour.

lots of love
