I am not too worried about Maddie, she likes design and color so much. Her chalk on the sidewalk pictures are so colorful and her coloring is great.She has natural talent with color. I think she will continue to pursue quilting and I know she will want to keep donating as it makes her feel so good. The amt of quilts she actually makes will go up and down. I am using a column pattern I designed for her, I will work with most fabrics. I design based on what accuquilt dies I have in my collection and Maddie can do the accuquilt all by herself. She was invited to a beginner quilting class for young people by LQS. She likes the idea of taking a class but we have to see about the timing of it. It will either be very good or very bad. Do not want her to feel pressured to meet the needs of a class. The rest of the school year is flying by, and overnights with mom are to start in April. DIL getting her son back here will be good.Maddie misses her brother even though he picks on her alot. Should be interesting as she has matured alot since 1st of the yr. Basically getting everyone away form maternal grand mother will be best idea. I know it is her mother but how many times can that woman kick her in the teeth??
It is in court document DIL can not even take Maddie out of state till Christmas 2012. I'd prefer forever but court would never see it that way. Reasoning was if she messes up with Maddie sooner, that Christmas can be changed. If not that gives her 9 months to get better at being a parent.

Sukochi is the first quilter to volunteer to actually make quilts for Quilted Hugs from Maddie.Several guild have emailed and are including craftsy's link in their newsletters. And even several quilt shops asked to put link in their newsletter and to donate fabric to her.
And I do believe she has appointed herself President of Maddie's fan club.

What do you call this particular stitch or is it all called Twilling? Did it take long to do this? It is going to be absolutely beautiful.
Sukochi this is called twilling and it is very easy to do , once you get the hang of how to do it.I learned it in about 10 minutes .then it was just a matter of practice. There are some good websites if you pull it up on your browser with videos that teach you how to do this . If I was closer to you I'd show you ..Barbara

I have to go to Pa for a bridel shower. I am not looking forward to it I lived in Pa but mow I hate to go back there and this is hard because my husband is from there he is always asking me to go with him but I really hate the place he has to go because he has drills once a month there
