Spud - I know you struggled but David's quilt is beautiful!! When I look at it I think I am looking at ancient maps with stars and the ocean.

Granny Agnes:I had a bit of time figuring out the theme but after looking at the panels I thought it all had to do with the big wide world. You are conveying that well.Love the bright blues with the beige.
Thanks Granny Agnes. I appreciate your kind words. Her 2nd son picked out a really cute focal fabric but it is proving hard to match colors. Part of my problem is I'm having to shop online. Hopefully I'll feel like driving in a bit and I will be able to take a sample and go look.
Life is like a quilt...bits & pieces, joy -and- sorrow, stitched with love
chocake2:Spud, I love the mariners quilt! Very pretty colors!
Thank you CC
It sounds like you had a great celebration. Congrats on your hubbies new promotion.
Marie:Spud, very nice! David will love it.

Thank you Beth, I know he will like it so it was all worth it.
Ms MoomMist:No I haven't given up it just isn't working. The colored font shows up on the preview but when I click post it still is black.
You have to click on the html button and put the code in the box that comes up. Good luck
Oh my! The family is growing by leaps and bounds! MiL just called: Her friend is leaving for an extended trip and doesn't have the heart to butcher her two hens - Would DS1 be willing to add them to his flock? He lit up like it was Christmas morning at the offer. How could i say "no"? I just hope that crabby ol biddy out in the coop welcomes the new additions without too much fuss... I actually think she'll be happier with companions.
Quilters are people who strip so they won't go topless.
Kathy--

David's quilt turned out so well. I love how you combined the various elements and the color choices are perfect.

Thanks for the AARP info. I found the location for my area and I'll definitely pay them a visit as soon as I have all the bits and pieces together. Mid Feb. is my usual target time, so hope I've gotten all my forms by then.
