Thanks, Gini.  You've been busy waiting in line for concert tickets and then attending concerts.  Welcome back.

thanks nancy,  it is good to be back.   you miss too much when you just drop in and skim the posts.   i'm home for two weeks then i may be off to branson for a week.  or not.  sam's been gone nearly two weeks and had to cancel his flight home.   he gets pretty lonely for home, so i think i may go out to keep him company for a bit.

Gini

If you go to Branson have a safe trip and enjoy your time.  I can hardly wait to see you again.

Gini if you do go to Branson then you have to eat at Lamberts.  I am from MO and Sikeston, which is where Lamberts started.  If you dont know it is the home of the Throwed Rolls and a great place to eat.  Have fun.

Patti, your quilt is wonderful. Even if it was a kit, it still take a lot of talent and hard work to keep all those rows straight, And determination to stick with it till the end!

thanks, nana, six weeks 'til leavenworth.

donna, i think sam has talked about lamberts.   we usually stay in a room with a small kitchenette.  we can do limited cooking there.  i'll be sure to ask him to take me to lamberts one night.   where do you live now?

here's my first little guy, jacy,  what do you think?

it is 1 7/8ths unfinished.   i don't think i can go much smaller.  one down and 63 to go.   it only took a few minutes to put together.  i was worried i didn't have enough small scale prints, but the larger scales  work  pretty well.

and, since both my good machines are in for their pre-retreat servicing, i did this little  guy on my featherweight.   she was so happy to get out of her box.  we are happy as clams at high tide, surreptitiously  sewing here at home.   what sam doesn't know won't hurt him, right.

Yes, I did work on my quilt today - my Snowmen A-Z - I finished up block M and N and am on to block O... we are moving along - now if my hands will just behave themselves - although I must say washing dishes each morning instead of at night has its benefits - hands love that warm water...

All these beautiful quilts and blocks that's we're done in the last month. It took me almost three hours to catch up but I wanted to see all of the creativity sprouting here.  Ribbons were won, quilts we're sent  to loved ones, angels, monkeys, carpenter wheel modern quilt, each one more beautiful.  I am glad to have looked at each one and glad to be home! Now I just hope to get reacquainted with my sewing machine in the next few days.  But before I do I need to get my house back in order

Great work everyone! I love to see your artworks!

Gini only had a small bag with fat quarters. Fat quarters aren't yardage so I think they don't count, right? And she needed them for her mini log cabins.

I, on the other hand have no excuse. I didn't need any fabric, but found my self in town without any little people in tow. How could I not stop in the fabric store? I am a sucker for their sale rack, I bought  11 yards of  beautiful fabric. It was 60% off, how could I not buy it? Now  what to make with it!

PS Gini, your little log cabin turned out great. Sounds like it will be about 1 3/8" finished, that's pretty close to the 1 1/4" you wanted. You need a picture of it in the palm of your hand so we can see how tiny it is.
