Patti:

Here is my progress on the bargello.  Where I started yesterday, and where I am at now.  I had a lot of prep work to catch up on before working on the rows.  But now half the rows are done.  It's looking fat as I have not sewn together most of the rows.

Patti ,this is going to be just amazing,I love your colors ,yuo are alot braver then me, this one scares me to death .. Can't wait to see it finished . barbara

Thanks Barbara, I'm pretty proud of it, I designed it myself which is something I don't do often much easier to let someone else figure out the math

Max, I'm taking notes on all your reasons for going to the LQS.  I'll use them as needed when I feel a shopping urge coming on!

Great bargello Patti.  It's going to be gorgeous!  A bargello is on my list of "hope to do's", but not for awhile...I still can't sew a straight seam for the life of me...and I understand that is really a must for bargellos.  Maybe after a few more years of practice...

Leslie, put me down as another one who likes your monkey quilt, so cute!   The quilt I worked on today was Bonnie Hunter's "Out On a String"  Got it all together, changed the layout a little, I'd rather not have my quilts square, so added another row and more sashings.  I really like string piecing!  I take a quick little picture, have to take it out to the cabin and hang it on the design wall to get the full view, so this is just a "teaser"

Carol, I really like those scrappy stars!  Is this pattern available on her web site?

I agree with you about changing square quilts to rectangles.

Yes, Nancy, it is available on her website, as far as I know it still is.  Now, how do I get rid of the duplicate post?  I hit it twice!
