Shelia,
These are great and a wonderful way to use up your scraps. You can send me a few :-).
Agnes: Here's my latest finish. The violet fabric is from the Birthday Flowers line. I just couldn't make myself cut it into small pieces when cutting all the other fabrics for quilt tops. I knew someday I would have a project for it. That happened when I came across some of McKenna Ryan's Sand in my Shoes fabrics. I would have loved to buy some of every fabric but I restricted myself to one. I also made the wallet and the bag to carry my big ball of dishcloth yarn which fits inside the shoulder bag.

Wow, these are beautiful!! Great job! Love the leaves.
MNnancy:Was this for your local guild? Will it be shown in a quilt show? Will there be voting and ribbons?
yes and the members voted me first place, there were only four entries. it will be in our guilds show in august to be voted on by the judges
MNnancy:Did anyone take pictures of Gini working on that 1-inch center block? I'm having a hard time visualizing hand-sewing on something that small.
i didn't see anyone taking pictures, i'll stitch you a square at retreat.
gini in north idaho

Cool! I'll take pictures.
On the banks of the Mississippi River in north central Minnesota (Brainerd lakes area)

Thank you. I really enjoyed doing those leaves so now I am battling with leaves on busy black and white prints. That is no fun. Too far along to go back to another plan.
Hi Kathy: I use thread that closely resembles the material I'm useing since that's the way I like my quilts to look.
gini ,nice job on the quilting. It is really beautiful . and in Answer to Nancy question,I have a coupleof pictures of gini working on something ,while at retreat ,but can't see what it is . Barbara
EAT!! SLEEP !! QUILT!!
Took the day off yesterday since I had an eye exam (dilated). Note to self: Do NOT look at how messy the house is after a dilated eye exam! Ack! I had to clean...vac...dust...sweep...make beds...
Then I sat down with "Molly" and finished up the last of the kaleidoscope blocks, made another batch of hotpads, hand-sewed bindings...very productive day - even if I did clean, too! LOL.
Very pretty, Gini but... 1 inch??? Why put yourself through that sort of agony? Yikes!
Agnes,
I'm sure the black and white will turn out great. Can't wait to see.

The problem is I can hardly see through the busyness of the fabrics to quilt. I feel about it the way I feel about doing house cleaning because it is a habit though no one can tell, yourself included, if you did anything. Add life, heat in my sewing room and Day 3 without sewing/quilting isn't even fizzing on me. Now if I could see progress it would be a different matter.
Agnes, I don't know how I missed your bag and wallet, nice work. I love the fabric you used.
( actually, I do know, I've just been skimming posts lately, I need to slow down and smell the roses as well as look at all the beautiful work everyone is turning out).
Here are a few projects I've been working on. I go back to work on Wednesday, so no more quilting for now.
This was a BOM called Stitcher's Garden. Some of the blocks need center buttons or yo-yo's
Toy pirates from a panel, then front and back of a pirate quilt for GS.
And DWR I started with Thea, but had to make it a throw size - way too much work
Beautiful quilts, Annie! I especially love the flowers quilt with its cheery colors and different-sized blocks and the DWR.
Are your applique flowers needle-turn, fusible, or something else?
Nancy, all flowers were fused using steam a seam, all appliqué was done on machine. It was a BOM sponsored by my LQS where I bought my machine to get to know all machine stitches. Still need to add buttons and/or Yo-Yos.
