Barbara, how about using the dark fabric in your quilt as a narrow border and then your favorite one if you have any

Left?  By the way it is a lovely quilt. I understand why your son wants it. It will be a great quilt to snuggle with.

MoomMist, Kori's picture is lovely. I am sure she touched the heart of everyone she met.  And she still does.

oh my goodness! use only white or grey thread? how boring! I love buying thread and love looking at their rainbow colors on display in my sewing room. So of course, I have to use them in my projects! Connecting threads sells some wonderful threads at a reasonable price in color-coordinated colorways. Check them out! Much to fun to sew with color than just white or grey! live it up ;-)

barbara, nice job on the civil war top.  if it's big enough for you already, don't bother with a border.  it will look fine without one.

karla, thing one and thing two are adorable

Thank you! Yes she did and does! I'm full of memories of Mother's Day last year. She gave me a most beautiful lazy Susan with a big Strawberry. When she gave a gift, her eyes would get so big when you opened it just to watch your reaction. She was quite the gal!

Barbara

I love your civil war quilt.  I would use the dark that looks solid in the pic...black?...as a border.
