Okay...3 glasses (large) of wine and I'm not so much caring about my little table runner. However, I am stressing a bit about the DWR quilt I am planning for my DS and future DDIL. Will I have to send it out to be quilted and bound? hmmm...

I love you guys! You make me feel so much a part of a quilting family. Hmmm...am I sloppy drunk...don't think so. I really mean it. You are all so sweet. Thank you Chicagosinger. Hope to meet you at a retreat one day...or when I visit Chicago (in laws live there).

Perhaps Maddie can FMQ my quilts. lol

Mary:
I did work on a quilt today.

Anyone that can even say they worked on a quilt is not a lousy anything.  Sometimes I wonder why I try, sometimes a whisper bad words under my breathe, okay I yell them aloud when the mistake is really bad, sometimes I ball everything up and throw it away.  But like you will do I try again tomorrow.  Every mistake teaches me something new about my technique and gives me the experience I need to keep going. " I can do it."  That's a quote from you. You are not a lousy anything.  Just still a beautiful work in progress. You can do it!

don't laugh Maddie will be using Tim  Lizzie to quilt tops long before i am comfortable with it. just what she was able to do on the model at the quilt show with no training she was amazing, just ask Sukochi! She has named the business and she has done FMQ on domestic machine better then myself just the first time. And i will have her give discount to all the friends who knew her when!!

I gave the quilt to my soon-to-be step grandson, Ty. Actually, I gave it to my step-daughter to give to him as he lives about 150 miles from here. I had intended to give it to him at the wedding on June 28th but my step-daughter and her fiance had stopped by here the other day so I gave it to her to take to him.

She just sent me this photo of Ty and his new quilt with the caption "HE LOVES IT!!!".

Isn't he a cutie? I'm excited to get a grandson.

Hi Judy!

I just ran across your pic, we lived in Port Orchard for ten Navy years. This quilt screams pacific northwest! I love it. And Ty is a cutie, too, you are lucky to get him.

Thanks Linda.  At only 8, the little boy is already an avid fisherman and bird hunter with his dad so I was pretty sure he'd like this quilt fabric. The quilt I'm making for his dad is also an outdoor theme but with different fabric. It's kind of funny because my step-daughter is just the opposite with no interest in hunting, sports or outdoor things at all. The quilt I'm making for her (she already has one I made for her several years ago but I thought she deserved another one) has nothing to do with the outdoors except for some butterflies in one of the fabrics.

I'm very fortunate to have such a wonderful extended family in addition to my own and I'm having a great time wrapping them up in quilts.

Nana,

I love your quilt top that you started at the VB retreat. That mitered border is perfect. It's too pretty to leave in that UFO pile very long.

Karla,

Your quilt is so pretty. I can't believe you did all that in ONE DAY! I can't stay that focused unless on a deadline.  Great job!
