Karla-I love the pink quilt!  It's so pretty!  Great job on it.

Agnes--I have a dream of someday doing a dresden plate quilt.  But I just can't get the hang of how to get it to fit correctly.  Maybe someday...

No quilting for me last night.  By the time I got home from work & the gym (Monday is workout night), I made dinner, checked email and went to bed.  Ugh...

I really need to work out the border detail on my pink/green butterfly/roses quilt.  And I have to finish my step 2 for the MQ.  I'm out on business all next week, so there won't be any sewing at all--can't take needles or scissors on the plane, so I can't even take any applique.  Darn it!!

Jacy--

Your garden row just keeps getting lovelier and more Springy.  It's delightful!

Nana--

Again, you've done a masterful job with beautiful fabrics and expert work.  Gorgeous quilt top.

Karla--

The fabrics in your latest quilt are beautiful.  As Nana said like raspberry sherbet--yum!

I'm one block away from having my share of the pink and white quilt  handquilted and will then be sending it on to my Seattle friend for fnishing of the applique blocks and the final quilting and binding.

Suzie, if you're checking baggage you can pack your scissors and needles.  You can also send them to yourself if you're going to be gone long enough.  Or just pick up some at a dollar store and leave them behind.

Agnes:

Nana--Just such a serene looking quilt. Love the great job on the borders.

Karla--Who could be sad with that quilt in your sight? Lovely.

And here's my finish. Marge P dent me the blades all cut, with extras to choose from. My seam allowances wouldn't allow the 16th blade to stay so I removed it. Obviously my seam allowances were too scant and the centers she sent were too small. As a result it has a center that will tie in with my Dresden Plate quilt whenever I get it quilted. I'm a few steps closer. I picked up basting spray and the walking foot yesterday. No excuses not to get it quilted now.

Very pretty, Agnes.

Maggie--Nope, not checking my bag.  Just one bag plus my backpack with my computer in it.  (I still have to process my payroll during the conference.)  I would like to have it to work on while I'm sitting at the airport for 2 hours...ick!  I should call and ask if I can bring a small set of scissors and a handful of pins and a needle.  I wonder if they've relaxed things enough to allow it.  Probably not, but I think I'm going to give it a try.  Otherwise, I'll just get lots of reading done.

Haven't worked on a quilt today but I did make a Juliet bag.  Very easy pattern.

Susie

The airlines will let you bring needles, pins and small scissors on board.  Just so the scissors are less than 4 in blades.

Nana:

I finished the top that I started at the VB retreat.  Now I will just have to decide on backing and get it sandwiched.  It will probably be in the UFO pile for awhile...LOL>  Here is Blue Dreams....

Nana, somehow I missed your Blue dreams quilt when you first posted it. It's beautiful, but how could it not be when it's made with that gorgeous fabric.

Although I must say it's not quite your usual size, why it doesn't even fully cover a couch!

I have a small pair of blunt tip scissors for air travel but I would check if I were you.  I recently heard you can take a small pair of scissors.  It may tell you on the TSA website.  I usually check before traveling in case things change.
