Granny Agnes:
so I just decided that I am now going for quality and not quantity.

with my stash, i would be better served by quantity.   sam would be happier if he saw my stash dwindling down.  :  ).  i'm afraid there isn't much chance of that in this lifetime.   i'll just have to come back as nana after i die, so i can whip out huge quilts that use lots of fabric.   nana, does it work?  has your stash been dwindling any?

Worked on my Snowman BOM, was hopeing to get block 1 done today. But blanket stitching black with black thread,  is not the best to see. Gonna take some time I'm afraid. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll have this one done.

Gini--I'm glad that interruption by your visitor went the way it did. That could have been a bad situation. Hope he doesn't come back again. Be careful.

Nana and Jodekema--DH went to the LQS with me shortly after I finished that top. I handed the top to him and told him "Go find something to use as backing for this". (Translation: get out from underfoot and let me shop for a while) I make it a policy to always use whatever he picks out...even if it is...uh, really different. When he came back with the little green lizards I almost balked. It grew on me the more I looked at it.  Glad you like it, too.

Kris--It will be a donation quilt to an Alzheimer Care Center.  I'm not lucky like most of the ladies here. I don't have any kids or grandkids. Just one old brother that isn't all that wowed by quilts. And I've done quilts for all of DH's family members that want a quilt. I can only use so many quilts myself. So if I want to make quilts I have to donate them.  I have kind of a special feeling for Alzheimer patients after I worked at a health care facitily in Oklahoma, so that is what I do with 99% of my quilts.

Judy--I love those wildlife prints. I'm going to have to look closer for Jody Bergsma's designs. Those three quilts are going to look so good together.

Max

Ladies beautiful quilts and fabrics.  Looking at your work is inspiration.  Can't wait for my Spring Break ( the end of March).   No one needs to want much that week.  I will be married to my sewing machine if I have my way.   I did get a start on my 2 squares for my Harry Potter paper piecing.

Annie:

Elizabeth, a quilting playdate, I love it.

That is a fun expression!  I think I'll use it, too.  Annie, are you going to call Peggy Martin to see if she's open for a quilting play date?
