Leah Day is starting a Free Motion Quilt Along on her website. The first instruction set breaks down stippling really well and makes me feel like I can do it! There's a video as well as written instructions. Here's the link: http://www.freemotionquilting.blogspot.com/2012/01/quilt-along-1-lets-wiggle.html If you haven't seen her Free Motion Quilting Project it's worth checking out : http://www.freemotionquilting.blogspot.com/p/start-here.html. She does a great job of explaining and demonstrating.
Here's what she said in the email:
Every Wednesday I'll post a video of a design to work on, and include photos of that designs stitched on REAL quilts. If you'd like to follow along, just try to stitch the design and practice using it sometime during the week. If you have a blog please write about your experience, then link up the following Wednesday to show your progress with everyone else.If you have questions or issues with a particular design, make sure to share them in the comments or on your blog and I'll try to answer at least 5 questions every Thursday.I'm really trying to move slowly with this project so we're going back to the basics this first week with Stippling!
Just thought I'd pass it along ... enjoy!!
