I hope I commented on everyones blocks, if I didn't, everyone did an awesome job on all their blocks, can't wait to see the finished quilts or whatever y'all do with them. I wish now that I had joined in. Another item on my to do list. That takes me, possibly, to 105 years old. : )

GORGEOUS! Judy.
Well, honey, thank you. So are you!
I am going to go back and re-do my previous blocks and use this line of fabrics. It's such fun colors.
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

ROFLOL!
I finished the log cabin and the 9 square blocks. I just couldn't "get" the wonky log cabin. But what is done, is done. Now to decide what to do in place of the hexis. Just watching the video of the instructor doing those gave me flashbacks to the '70s and <gasp> YO YOs! Hundreds and hundreds of yoyos. Maybe even thousands. Not going anywhere close to something like that again! I found a couple of tutorials on various ways to make flying geese, so am considering a couple of squares using those.
Nice job and your fussy cuts are pretty.
Here are my blocks for August. I have switched up fabrics a little bit. Some of you remember that early on I only had a 1/2 yard of my orange and green poppy fabric so did a search and found some at a small quilt store (in Iowa, I think). In error they sent me a purple and green hydrangea print from the same line and then corrected the error and sent the correct poppy fabric telling me to keep the hydrangea fabric. As I have been looking at the hydrangea fabric, I think it might add something to this quilt...specifically a purple print to balance the april block that was mostly deep purple. So, here are my August blocks and a second shot of all my blocks to date.
Anyway, this will be a colorful quilt...LOL!

Thanks Judy,
Donna B,
Love your blocks! They are so pretty! I could just sit and look at all the colors and patterns for an hour...beautiful! You are getting a good balance of the bold, solid colors in some blocks. A very nice mix so that nothing is overpowering...great job with all the bright colors!

Belfrybat,
Your blocks are looking wonderful. Good job on the HST's! Wish mine would look that nice! Really like the colors you are using...the blue is going to make a cozy looking quilt.
Donna -- your quilt blocks are fantastic! I love the play on colours between the orange and purple. So bright and "happy". One question, where did you find the pattern on the 3rd block on the bottom row? I really like it, and haven't seen that one before. I'm guessing you substituted it for one of the hexi blocks?
Donna B:Anyway, this will be a colorful quilt...LOL!
I agree this will be a colorful quilt. I love it, Donna. Ginny

Donna, the switch is perfect, I love your blocks! This is going to make such a colorful, happy quilt.
Belfrybat:And I really like the method of doing four at a time where you begin by sewing around a square. I just need to work out the math for different sizes and keep it handy.
BB, when you figure that out will you share please? I've seen Jenny Doan, Missouri Star Quilt Company, use this method and I love it, sew easy.
