Claudette:Well I got my second April block done.
It's very pretty Claudette.
They use google docs but so do I for my quilt group and as long as they have set up security on there documents you should be able to get to them. Can you open the PDF and save a copy to your computer?
Claudette, I love your colors. I signed up for this BOM, but haven't done even one block. Don't know if I will or not because I have so many unfinished projects that I just have to get done. I sure like everyone's blocks however, will give me a lot of ideas for color combinations if I ever decide to do this one.
Claudette your blocks are beyond incredible. That is going to be a stunning quilt!!
In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
WTG Claudette! Nice blocks and even more important you are done with April. I've still got one more to do. I think I've finally gotten it figured out what I am going to do. Now I just have to get it done! LOL

Claudette, I really like your blocks. I really like your April, and your 2nd one is really neat. I haven't come up with any new idea for the 2nd one so not sure what I'll end up doing. I'm just starting work on the hexes for the first April block. It took a while to figure out the fabrics to use. I haven't taken pictures of all of mine yet but am enjoying seeing what others have done.
Thank you all for your encouraging compliments! I do worry that I've just got too much going on with this thing with all of the bright colors, but it's for me to wrap up in on cold winter nights, so it doesn't really matter much - and I do find working with the bright colors makes me happy. I'm learning new stuff, and making new friends here. All good things, to be sure!
Claudette,
Don't worry about the bright colors. They are beautiful and it is going to be a knockout quilt! Get you some bright flannel for backing and you'll be wrapped up cozy all winter...patting your quilt saying "pretty pretty'. And if you don't want it, I'll send you my address!

I love the brights, Claudette. It will be a great quilt.
Well...I tried to play around with some "modern" blocks to do instead of the hexes and this is what I have come up with so far. Not thrilled yet so I will continue to think of different things. I like the one in the top left corner. The third one over on the top row is my second choice. I don't like the other two I did but they may end up on the back.
Jeanine,
I really like your modern blocks! Especially fond of the second from left, second row...I call it stacked books. And I like your square in a square, and the three lines. Shoot! I like 'em all!
Have you been keeping track of the 100 Days of Modern Quilting on the Modern Quilt Guild website? I have really been enjoying it, and have seen so many quilts and ideas I can't wait to try. Here is a link in case you haven't. On the right side of the page there is a box with the title 100 Days of Modern Quilting. Click on it, and It takes you to the page where the last 14 weeks have been summarized. Think you'll like it! Max

Max, thanks for the link to this website! I hope they'll leave those weekly postings up for a while - quite inspirational!

I, too, like the second block in the second row. However, I think they all look good together. Keep thinking, I like seeing what you come up with.

Jeanine, I like the way you think. The blocks sure have a modern twist to them. Waiting to seee what you come up with next.
