Nice job, Marge. I agree, these have somewhat of a watercolor effect. Very Springtime!
Lovely blocks. They remind me of springtime.
Marge, those are very pretty blocks. I did the first block like the second. Did not sew the stings to the back, and cut off the back when done.
Everyones blocks are really nice, Patti, I really like your blue set, blue is my favorite color. I think I am going to use paper for both march blocks, in fact I think there is a quilt in my gallery using just that technique. I really need to put some things to the wayside and get these blocks caught up.
Great Job Everyone
Honestly Ladies and fellas...
Y'all are just going crazy making such beautiful blocks. I have yet to cut out the beginning....just can't get started. Maybe because my quilting area is topsy turvy. I'm planning on getting it under control this week.
Thought I had my Featherweight sold, but Lady changed her mind. Oh well, its not like I have to sell it...the money would have been nice, I'm wanting the Sashiko machine...maybe next year. They keep making improvements and changes, by the time I save up the $$ it should be perfected!
I haven't started on any of the blocks yet either. I was waffling about whether or not to make them since I don't love some of the blocks and putting so much work into something without knowing what the end product is supposed to look like isn't really my thing.
I've decided to go for it, but do mine in all solids. I think I can handle any surprises with placement if I'm using all solids. Since Kona goes on sale at Joann's this weekend, I am going to get a ridiculous amount of Kona in different colors and start on my blocks Saturday probably.
Marge P: It feels good to be caught up for a change.
Rub it in, Marge! LOL I'll get there someday...
On the banks of the Mississippi River in north central Minnesota (Brainerd lakes area)
MNnancy:Rub it in, Marge! LOL I'll get there someday..
ROFLOL Being caught up on one set of blocks is good for me .......especially with the list of UFO's which I think still numbers right at 100. If I ever really got caught up, I would faint but it is so much fun to start new stuff! My biggest downfall! Best get to the sewing machine and load one of those UFO's! It will be March 31st too soon!
Thanks all for the comments on my March blocks - Wonder what April's will bring. I like my colors so should like the finished project.
Marge P: It will be March 31st too soon!
Wait a gosh dern minute - it's only March 18!!! I am going to get these BOMs done in time! Go work on one of your UFO's, miss speedy gonzoles! :-)
Love your blocks Marge! Especially the yellow and it ties in with the yellow in your first block.
Mineral Wells, West Virginia
Dara Beth: I love your color combination.
Thanks Dara Beth. They are fairly nice, now that they're done and not misbehaving for me.
Kris:Your blocks look great Mimi.
Thanks Kris. These blocks are just pulling me out of my comfort zone too much. Or is it the pressure to get the report cards done? They are on computer now and you have to get them just perfect before they print them so the pressure is measurable at school right now. I couldn't sleep again last night thinking about them.
Marge P: I enjoyed making both of these blocks
Oh Marge how pretty and feminine. Love love love the colors. It's going to be beautiful.
I got my daughter to do this BOM. fun. She's in another state but I like knowing she is making one, too. Cab't wait to se hers. I love seeing how different each is.
