Very nice blocks, Claudette. I'm hoping to get started tomorrow. Feel better :)
WOW Claudette, your blocks really pop! They look great!
Max, I too have trouble being random & just pulling a strip & sewing it to something! I have been studying how to do mine and I was leaning more like the one claudette did on the right.
Jacy, Great blocks. Good color combinations!

Hi Claudette, I like both of your blocks. I like the way you have 2 rows of the stripes on the right one, but I also like way the stripes are done diagonally on the left one. The more I look at them the more I think I like the left one best!
I did my block when I got home from work today. But now I'm tired and it is too late to bother with the pic. I think I'll wait till I get the other one done.
Get well. It sucks to be sick.
Claudette, your blocks are great! I've been unpacking all week after 3 months in AZ. Now I've overdone it this week. Maybe I'll get on Craftsy and at lease print out the directions and watch the video. Maybe tomorrow I'll feel like sewing. I certainly brought back enough fabric....like I didn't have enough already!!!
Hugs,
Claudette: I didn't get to the spiderweb block yet... I did my string block twice. In the left pic I feel it looks a bit like my crayon box threw up. I feel I still kept the spirit of the assignment in the right block without going overboard. The right one will definitely go better with the blocks I already have done. I'm home sick today so I've been working on these off and on between resting (I really can only stay in bed for so long!) Getting wiped out again so might not get to the second block today - will have to see.

Congratulations, These are really colorful! I am not particularly fond of strip quilts and today I figured out why! As I was doing the Spiderweb, I had myself in tears, yes after over 25 years of quilting I was crying... I figured out why I've never made a strip quilt - I cannot stand the confusion of all those pieces and the basic disordered mess I had trying to figure out what to put where. The first one wasn't too bad, but OMG, the trouble I had with that spideweb... Anyway, here there are:
