I love everyone's blocks! I have signed up for them, but haven't done any yet. Now you have inspired me to get started.
I did the first ones and haven't had time to do the ones from Feb. maybe this week.
Kris:not all patterns work out with a scant quarter inch. Some designers specify which to use others let you figure it out.
So based on experience with the Craftsy BOM so far, what is the consensus of the group? Is she using scant 1/4 inch or full 1/4 inch?

I cut quite a bit off the Jan blocks so I'm guessing a full 1/4"
Thea:one step closer to sewing again!
Good to see you posting again Thea. Welcome back. Hope all is well.
Nancy, I have been using a full 1/4 inch, and they come out just about right

I have only done one, but from the very little I had to trim, I would say full 1/4 inch. At least that is what I used and it turned out well. In fact I made a lap quilt using that first block. I still have to post it. Have not had the time to do the other three and am still trying to figure out what colors I want to use. Other patterns keep getting in my way.

Dara Beth, I love your blocks! Is that purple or pink as your background fabric? Really like the colors. Here are the fabrics I dug out of my stash...what do you think? Do I need to add a white as a baseline for all blocks or do a hodge-podge with these 3 solids? Any help & suggestions would be reatly appreciated!
That is a really pretty purple or dark lavender not a periwinkle color.

I printed off my patterns today so hope to do my blocks tomorrow or the next day - depends on how much I get done with Mom - my list is getting smaller - so that is a good sign... soon it will be completed and back to my normal days... I can only hope! maybe get Mom into sewing again too - wow that would be awesome!
Sheila,
I don't think you "need" to add white. The solids would work well as there is good colour contrast.
Sheila, I think those colors are wonderful
Thanks Kris. Wasn't sure if I needed a "base" color to tone done the brights...however, I had started another quilt using only these colors before I had shoulder surgery & they worked together well.
