To all who have posted blocks or expressed reservations about participating. I have looked at all the blocks and love all the color combinations you have chosen. I know some have expressed that they don't like a particular block, or that they are not sure their colors will "go together" when done. It is amazing that some of the most lovely quilts are not those that are overly matched up. In fact, if you look at some of the most colorful scrappy quilts, there are some ugly fabrics in there!!!! The fact is that not every fabric is the "star", and varied fabrics make the eye travel. Also, the blocks that we don't like may be the perfect foil to a block that we really like. I did not like the first two blocks, until I made them up and put them with the next two. Finally, if we really hate a block when we are done, we can substitute another one... like the flying geese one that Marge posted here. As to wasting fabric... I guess that hasn't been a worry for me, as my collection has outgrown its space. I'd hate to see someone miss out on the fun... and besides I just LOVE seeing what you all are doing with your blocks. Can't wait for March!!!!

Debbie-do:I didn't pay a lot for my fabric, I need to learn more techniques so I dove in today and made the Feb blocks.
I like your fabric colors, Debbie - nice job!
Kathie Kline:Here are my February blocks. Just using things from my stash. No plan in mind.
Kathie - I would take a whole quilt out of the rust/green fabrics in the chevrom - love the background also. Good job!

Patricia Faye:Marge P, I love the colors and the fabric. Your blocks are beautiful. Nice work
Thanks, Patricia - I have "saved" this fabric for a long time so glad I am finally using it! :-)
Patti:Marge, I like your colors too. And I really like the flying geese block.
Thanks, Patti - had thought of using Christmas fabrics but glad I picked these. I am ready for March!
Everyones blocks are so pretty. Judy I so agree with you. A single block that you don't particularly like doesn't make the quilt. Alot of times those so called "ugly" blocks really brings a nice completed feel to the final product.

Here's my February Blocks. I may redo the Balkan Puzzle Block. It is just a smidge smaller than 12 1/2 ". Also, I'm posting a picture with January and February blocks.

Margre P, very pretty I like your blues.
Kathie Kline, Very tropical looking, very pretty.
Judy, well said. I've made a few FWS blocks that I would not like to stand on their own, but with as many as there are they will blend in. I hope :).
Jap, you're going to have a beautiful Christmas quilt.
