KathyColorado your color choices are wonderful. I like the way you made your blocks.
Susan & Jennifer, I paused again before making the blocks, wondering if they'll all even go together when they're all done but I figure... what the heck, I didn't pay a lot for my fabric, I need to learn more techniques so I dove in today and made the Feb blocks.

Nana: Craftsy has Beyond Machine Quilting on sale at 50% off. Looks like a really good class on quilting if anyone is interested.

Darn, I missed the sale price! That's what I get for missing a few days on here... But, the XC skiing has been great here!

Debbie Do... Love your blocks. They fit together real well. :) Cant wait to see what March will bring. :) I actually started another BOM cause I needed something to do. lol
Jennifer Wingard: I signed up for the class, but haven't had time to make the January blocks yet, let alone get started on the February blocks. I really don't like some of the blocks, though. I know I'm picky, but I kind of hate the designs. I guess I should soldier on, but it's tough to put a bunch of work into learning to quilt when I think the patterns are ugly. :(

Jennifer,
I figured that this was a good way to learn some new stuff. If I don't like it when the top is complete that's OK. It will be good to use to practice machine quilting on or I can use it as a backing for another quilt. It can also be give to a charity. On the up side it may turn out better that we think. We haven't seen the rest of the blocks yet. :-)
I did get my backing fabric washed and ironed this weekend but still haven't gotten started on the blocks. Hopefully, I can get going this week....

Kathy, really like your blocks the grey one realy caught my eye.
Debbie-do, Love your choice of main fabric. Great blocks.
Here is my revised chevron. It was easy to fix and it does look better this way. Ready for the March blocks!
Nice fix, does look better Patricia.
Hi All - finally got my act together and picked out my fabrics for the Craftsy BOM - This is mostly Eleanor Burns "Anniversary" line from a few years (several years actually :-( ) back. So I am caught up to date. Instead of making the Chevron block, I made 8 Flying Geese units and put them together. I kind of like the funky star they make. I will have to watch myself to not have too much blue in this quilt as that is a favorite color. I will also be using several light background fabrics.
Marge P, your blocks look wonderful
Here are my February blocks. Just using things from my stash. No plan in mind.
wow Kathie, what fun blocks. What lively fabric combinations. Yours is going to be a great quilt.
