I'm fairly new to this site, but am surprized with all the free quilt patterns, I'm not seeing any patterns for actually quilting my top together to my batting and backing. I'm I missing something?

MTHALL, I don't think I have ever seen a quilting stencil design on here, just patterns for the quilt itself

There are some free motion quilting in the pages of the Free motion group. They are designs I did when I was learning to free motion and you are welcome to use them.

Here is a site that has a ton of free quilting patterns and quilt patterns...and a bunch of other great info! Hope it helps!

Hi, and Happy New Year to all.
I also am looking for downloadable quilt stencils or stitching designs. I've checked out quite a few websites, but I'm searching specifically for guitar or musical themed designs. So far no luck.
Anyone out there have any suggestions?
Thanks

found this

Wow, that was fast! Thanks a bunch, Kelley. I had fun looking at those sites, but not exactly what I'm searching for. I'm quilting an Elvis quilt for my niece. I would like to put something with guitars or musical notes in the borders (6 inch and 8 inch). Don't have a long arm, so looking for something simple. I will likely end up drawing something basic. Maybe I can find something in a children's coloring book...
Thanks for your help. Any and all suggestions gratefully received!!

Carol, this is really hard to search for! I am pretty good at pulling up searches, but - what key words do you use? Every time I put in 'Hand quilt templates" I get a quilt PATTERN to sew piecing by hand! Anyone out there who knows how to search for quilt stitching patterns that go OVER the top of your quilt "sandwich" ??? I am also NOT a long-arm quilter, as I do mine by my sewing machine, and sometime in the (far) future will do one by hand..... where are the regular design templates? How dfo you search?
OOPS! I clicked on this as a suggested response, so please ignore, and see my post after this one..... (sorry!)
I google for quilting stencils. Here are my two favorite spots www.quiltingstencils.com and www.stensource.com Have fun
Try searching Quilting Pantographs.
try this site http://stores.digitechpatterns.com/-strse-1270/DH1367-Guitar-Border--fdsh-/Detail.bok
OOps, I clicked on my own prior response, sorry! But I just wanted to add that I looked at the www.quiltingstencils.com site that Elizabeth suggested, and wanted to point out that on page 11 there is a treble cleff design, if that helps.....
Thanks for the links, Elizabeth :-) I've added them to my favorites!
