Hi Everyone. My name is Peggie and I live in a very small rural town in Eastern Ontario, Canada. I have just started quilting (in July) and have completed one crib quilt for my latest granddaughter (I have 3).
I just recently completed a shop hop of 14 quilt stores and travelled over 250 miles to do so. What a blast! I had printed off a number of patterns in advance and took them with me on the trip. As I entered a store, I pulled out one pattern and attempted to find all the required fabrics to complete that pattern in that store. For the most part, I was VERY successful in adding to my stash and I now have 14 projects to keep me busy through the winter as I recuperate from hip surgery.
I look forward to learning from the QCA membership and sharing tips I have already learned too.
welcome to this site Peggie! and to the world of quilting! good luck on your recuperation!
Welcome Peggie. I have yet to do a shop hop but sure would like to do it. Babysitting my grandsons seems to interfere with shopping so I buy most of my fabric on line. I know you will enjoy this site. The people are just wonderful.
Hi Peggie, welcome
Welcome Peggie, I am from Ontario but in the Northwestern part of it. Hope you find QCA as useful as I have. Lots of tips, support and suggestions when you are at a loss. Also lots of humor... always a good thing to have. Can't wait to see pictures of your projects.

Welcome to the board. Good luck with your surgery and recovery. I am very jealous of your shop hop sounds like you had a blast!
Never done a shop hop. Yours sounded like fun. I bounce around from shop to shop quite a bit tho. I have many favorites in 2 different states...Ohio and Arizona. It's like state shop hopping!! Now that you have projects lined up while you recuperate this winter, we expect to see some photos come spring, girlfriend.
We'll be praying for a successful surgery and recovery.
Welcome, Peggie! Those projects should keep you busy during the long Canadian winter. Hope your recovery goes well :-)
