for my second quilt and I haven't even started sewing on my first one yet. But I couldn't stop myself. I just went into look, then I touched, I may have even smelt a bolt or 2. Not sure, everything happen so fast! Next thing I knew, I was sitting in the car with a small brown paper bag on my lap filled with 4 yards of fabric. Should I be hanging my head in shame?
Ae you kidding, If I could walk out of the quilt shop with only 4 yards I'd be tickled.I'm a full fledged fabricholic ,I'd say you did good.No reason to hang your head in shame ..Barbara

Heck, 4 yards is what amounts to a "snack" for most of us. I'd say you did good...
We always start out saying, I'll just have one (fat quarter that is) and before you know we're taking the whole bolt. There is no 12 step program for us <sigh>

No shame in that Mitzs. You're providing a loving home for this fabric. You should be commended. Four yards is not that much at all.
Ohhh, I love the idea that it was homeless. Ha! No more guilt here! :)
I've not bought the backing yet. So I'll still have to get that, but I am only making a throw size for my 2yr old grandson. The lady at the quilt shop suggested a 43 x 53 so he has some room to grow with. I am just excited to have some new fabric.
Do not hang your head in shame. You are now a quilter. Buying fabric It is what we do. I'd say you were just planning ahead. We all know what our "next" project will be. You are just well prepared. Now get going on your first quilt, so you can move on to the next. Welcome to the best club in the world, and the common thread that binds us all together.

Toe tipping....Don't be ashamed, your stash has to start some where.

I am lucky if I can get out with only 4 yards. But hey don't be ashamed thaink of the projects that you can create with the wonderful fabric. Stash has to grow somehow. Enjoy quilting it is so relaxing and sress relieving.

Would you go into a bakery and buy only one cookie?

Absolutely! Hang your head in shame for leaving all of those defenseless pieces of fabric in the shop. Now you've probably given them some complex because they weren't selected. For Shame!
ROFLMAO!
My dh wishes I would just buy 4 yds. Wil never be able to use up my stash. Oh well, there are worse things I could do at least my family stays warm. Haha
Like I tell my husband, i could smoke, that would be way more expensive. Of course, he isn't any to sure on what I really buy and I can't think of a reason to tell him.
Absolutely NO head hanging in shame. I personally think you did very well to walk out with only 4 yds of fabric. I would have found lots more than that.
