Granny, I am soooooooooooooooo jealous!  Love your sewing space and really love the living room photo.  How nice to be able to show off such a treasure.

Elaine Phillips:

Barbara. that wasn't the one I was thinking about. There is another forum out there somewhere that has pics of Helly's Edith's, mine, and some others but I can't remember what it is called, and I don't know how to find old forums.

found this one too :) but I don't see the rooms you're referring too ... http://www.quiltersclubofamerica.com/forums/t/3020.aspx?PageIndex=1

Barbara - When we moved here three years ago, I told him he could have the basement - all I needed was a computer/den which I still have.  Then 2 years ago I got bitten by the quilting bug, then 1-1/2 years ago I fell into the bargin of a lifetime - the  used Jamone 1600p and king size Gracie frame for under $3000.  Needless to say the guest bedroom disappeared.  I wish I knew when we were moving how much room I would need - He would NOT have had the whole basement.

Granny M - I'm only near Chicago - can be there for sewing just about anytime you are having all of us.

Marge,

I just keep filling it up with stuff.  I do love it but I'm running out of places to hide fabric! Gotta get some cabinets or something. :-) Thank you.

My sewing studio consists of the back of my living room.  I have book shelves opposite the quilting frame, a small ironing board on top of the shelves, and drawers of fabric in the dining room.  I have it set up so I can watch TV while I sew.  The area is small, but functional.  Granted, I still use the living room floor for cutting fabric.

You must be under 35!  May I recommend the table I use for cutting?  It folds down to 13''x36''x36''  They go on sale at JoAnns from time to time for under $100.

I've had this table for over 10 years and it works great for me.  Used it for extra service space when I had a large dinner party.

I, too, have used this same cutting table from Joann's for years. Absolutely love it and don't know what I'd do without it.
