YUM   They come individually wrapped -- about half the size of a Kraft Caramel and melt in your mouth.    Takes me back a few years.

Sounds like SloPokes or Turtles.  Caramel, pecans and chocolate.  I just had an apple for  breakfast and a boiled egg for snack.  Could we talk about something else?  I am salivating.

The Vermont Country Store also carries lots of oldies but goodies in candy as well as shampoos and other stuff that is no longer readily available. Anyone remember "Evening in Paris" perfume in the blue bottles???

Oh, my. the high school girs used to wear that and I thought they were being terribly sofisticated.

And they probably bought it at Woolworths Dime Store.  :o)  Complete with the lunch counter, of course.

Marge

I do remember "Evening in Paris" .   All the older girls used to wear it.  It was just a little before my teen years.

Have never heard of any of what you are talking about!  and I am not a youngster...teehee... but like Leslie - I would like my size 1 figure back...LOL...

I would like the kids to be able to go to sock hops and not worry that someone is lurking in the shadows... Oh Woolworth's - Ben Franklins, Ice cream sodas with 2 straws... Yep we could bring all of that back...

One thing I do want to keep though is the internet - I love being able to turn my computer on and know that someone is right there - and I can talk to them ... now cell phones - well don't have one - nor want one so those could get lost... communication is a good thing but a little distance does make the heart grow fonder and how do you get distance when you talk or text non-stop...

Just a not a youngster's remininsing(sp)
