I use the cardboard from scrapbook paper to organize my projects...I layer each step of a project on a sheet of cardboard which I have cut down to 11 x 11" so it fits nicely inside a 12 1/2" plastic  block box...I pile step after step on top of each other and lay the pattern on the top and close it up.  Label the outside with project name.  This is a great way to carry projects to a retreat or bee meeting.

I'll have to think about this as I pack for retreat.  Thanks for the tip.

Organize...what is organization?  My quilting supplies could be classified as utter chaos.  I envy those of you who can organize efficiently...and especially those of you who have the room to actually get into your sewing rooms.

My DH put a  wood strip on the wall in m sewing room. He put in nails as far part as I needed. I hang my rulers on it, by size, so I always know where to look for a ruler, and I hang my rotary cutter there, too.
