Thank you Maggie, I didn't start out with that intent however, if it works........    It has been a long time since I made a quilt for my husband, he likes this one, so I will add to the length and width and use it in our bedroom.

Thank you Angele,   Yes the sashing is black.   Years ago when my Grandma taught me to sew and quilt, more than a little black was a big  no-no.  I am glad that now we can use any color we want, and celebrate the contrast.  Also, red and purple together was a big no-no.  I put them together in this quilt, cause I can!

MNancy,  Thank you so much.  You diffidently will hear more from me and see my work.  This Mystery quilt came at the perfect time for me.  I am so glad to be quilting again, and to have so many wonderful supportive people to visit about quilting with.

Thanks everyone for your kind concern.  I am recovering very well.  My reclyner has seen a lot of me lately.  I did go in to work for a few hours this morning and it was okay.  When I came home and had lunch it was nap time for me.  I think I will work morning only tomorrow too and then after the Thanksgiving break should be good to go.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Well, I don't know when I'll get the rest of the blocks done (I have too many things that need to be quilted), so here are the first 6 pairs of blocks - ignore the chairs in the background (4 more to go):

The fabrics that look like plain white actually have a green pattern on them - filligree, stripes, etc - here's a close-up of one:

Eileen - This is going to be very pretty when it's done.  Like the colors you are using.

Mine was posted in viewers choice but never named.  I have a real hard time with that, so if anybody has any suggestions, I'd appreciate hearing them.  Thanks  :-)

I love your border.  What are the dimensions of each square, it looks like 3 or 3 1/2?  Beautiful and inspiring!

I did not get a chance to finish but MIL is doing better, she is back at the nursing home and they are getting her mobile after the hip break.  My kitchen is just waiting for the countertops and sink which may be another week or so.  My DS is settled in Alberta and my tooth has been pulled.  So aside from an essay and trying to plan my DDs wedding I am good to sew again.  Here is what I have so far in the way of blocks.
